*CAVEAT LECTOR*:  This region of the wiki is not to be trusted.  It contains documentation that is under development; it might be good, but then again it might be bad.  Some of it will have been written by developers who actually know what they're talking about but don't have time to polish.  Some of it will be written by harmless drudges who would like to help, but who may or may not know what they're talking about.  In principle, once something in this area of the wiki becomes stable and accurate, it will migrate out of this ghetto and to the "official" wiki pages.
